NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE – We are fortunate to have a NWS office in Grand Junction. It covers the western slope and the eastern half of Utah. During wildfires they play an active role in providing critical spot weather forecasts for first responders. The data they collect feeds the commercial weather sites. The office in GJ provides the public with weather virtual spotter classes specific to the region and offer tours of their facilities.  See links on the home page.
